(Extension of the Helping Hands Initiative Nevis)
Prophetess (Rev) Francine Joseph Anson registered Yahweh Initiatives in Antigua and Barbuda in the month of March as an extension to The Helping Hands Initiative Nevis in order to continue its vision to reach one household at a time.
Yahweh Initiatives joined hands with Winchester Farm Limited, located on 20 acres of land in Orange Valley, St Mary's Parish on the island of Antigua.
The Vision has five phases, which are:
- Food distribution through agriculture-planting various types of vegetables. Raising meat birds and layers for eggs (used clothing distribution will also continue). Setting up a marketplace for the purchase of vegetables and other produce at a cheap cost. (Sales will offset operation cost) Purchasing 200 layer chicks for the provision of eggs.
- Grinding flour- using surplus ground provision for grinding to make flour.
- Manufacturing natural insecticide-preparing various types of bush to make natural insecticides for farmers.
- House of Prayer- a prayer centre for those desirous of a quiet place to pray and fast.
- Setting up counselling clinics by building five gazebos accessing garden paths flaked with coconut, papaya and banana trees. Will be facilitating counselling sessions on a one-on-one basis and sometimes in-group sessions.
- Providing a place of relaxation for cancer patients after chemotherapy and later on A home for senior citizens, with three large green houses. Allowing each person their own area in a greenhouse to cultivate whatever they choose to make them feel active.
- Investment program-Assisting small farmers to attract investors or donors for start-up capital.
In the event, that anyone would like to contribute:
1. donation to purchase 200 chickens at $10.00 each
2. donation to purchase food for chickens at $50 per bag
3. donation towards Seeds (Seeds can be shipped)
4. donation to purchase a scalder and plucker
5. donation of a mill to grind flour
6. donation to purchase water, as the island is going through a major drought
7. donation to purchase lumber for building the gazebos
In view of the pandemic, it is a slow process in accomplishing all aspects of the phases. However, I occupy my time with clearing the land, tilling the soil, sowing seed and weeding weeds. In addition, set up an indoor place for sowing and growing vegetables, tea bush and other herbs.
Consumed for His Service: Prophetess (Rev) Francine Joseph Anson
